The Pala Band of Mission Indians and Pala Environmental Department announce the Virtual Riparian Management Workshop: Save Our Oaks which will take place on Monday, August 24, 2021, and Tuesday, August 25, 2021.
Workshop
Pala’s free Riparian Management Workshop returns as a virtual event on August 24, 2021, and August 25, 2021. This year our topic will be an important one: Save our Oaks!
Four sessions of presentations with discussions will focus on:
- Threats to Oaks – 8/24/21, 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
- Tribal Knowledge – 8/24/21, 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
- Climate Change and Oaks – 8/25/21, 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
- Restoration Techniques – 8/25/21, 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Speakers include researchers, educators, Tribal experts, and others.
